Mobirise
August 2020 update

Over the past weeks of lockdown we have been working hard to find ways for Leicester Jazzhouse to deliver 'Covid-19 friendly' Jazz.

We are excited to announce our collaboration with the Leicester Cosmopolitan Art Festival (@artcosmoplolitan) featuring a mix of art and music from around the world. This is now scheduled for the 5th & 6th September!
Leicester Jazzhouse in association with Derby Jazz, brings to Leicester the 'Loosen Up' Streetband, who will play live on one of the Festival days. Click here for more about the band. Details on timing/ locations will appear in the Festival Schedule when available. Also as part the Festival, videos of live original Jazz performances by the Tom Barford & Alex Hitchcock’s AuB Quartet ( @aubmusic ) and Leicestershire based quintet The Fourmasons (@fourmasons ) will be shown on screens around the city centre.  These sessions were commissioned by Leicester Jazzhouse and recorded without an audience at the Three Swans Hotel in Market Harborough. After the Fesitval, they will be streamed via the Leicester Jazzhouse website.

The Leicester Jazzhouse provisional programme of 'Covid-19 friendly' gigs at two of our regular venues is shown below. Unfortunately the Attenborough Arts Centre has told us that they will not be open for live evening performances until at January 2021 at the earliest.

Wednesday 30th September: Jonny Mansfield (Vibes) Trio - The Musician
Friday 16 October: Jean Toussaint All Star Sextet - The Y Theatre
Thursday 12 November: Phil Robson Organ Trio - The Musician
Thursday 10th December: Laura Jurd’s Dinosaur - The Musician
Friday 29th January 2021: Alan Barnes + 11 - The Y Theatre

The Government Guidelines affecting live performances can change at short notice and may result in venues having to cancel bookings. In such circumstances, tickets purchased prior to the performance will either be refunded by the venue’s box office or can transferred to the new date in the case of postponement.
We will endeavour to keep everyone advised of any changes via the website and mailshots.

Best wishes and stay safe,
Leicester Jazzhouse Team
